Someone asked me how long it’s been since I lost my husband.  The asked because they were concerned about a friend of theirs.  Things that happen to us are not for us alone.  Where we walk, we are able to help others who must walk the same thing.  They couldn’t understand where their friend was emotionally as we are entering the holiday season.  Now they have a better idea on how they can help their friend through this time.  Let us remember to share with others who are walking out something we have walked, but share in love and mercy, not in judgement or with an expectation that they should walk just like you did.  The most important thing to do to help someone is to listen in love and acceptance and, if appropriate, encourage them with your own experience
